Best frock!

Hello Crafting friends

It is again time to showcase Wendy's latest release from All dressed up, and this time there are some really elegant ladies as well as some total cuties!

I used a set called  best frocks.  This is a great set as there are three elegant ladies together, or you can use them separately.  I used one on its own.  I though she as so demure that she needed nothing but black and sparkle to pull off the evening gown look!

I printed her out and coloured with Copics, before adding tonic shimmer all over her frock.  The sentiment was printed at the same time as the image.

I added some stripy card down the side and a thin strip of metallic red to make it all pop!

You can buy this and all other new releases (as well as tons of other beautiful images!) over in our etsy store.  Please check it out!

Here are the full set of images in the new release.

Spring wellies

Hello everyone

I've been on holiday this week, and had a few hours crafting time.  I decided to challenge myself to something different, and went to my Nitwit digi scrapbooks to create some cards that don't involve colouring.

I needed some Easter and spring cards to send out, and although I do have a lot of Easter stamps and digi stamps, I decided to do some mindful fussy cutting and layering instead.

This is one of the cards I made - in the end I made about 10 cards using the same kit.  I find sometimes to limit the supplies helps bring back my mojo, and stretch my creative brain.  It was so much fun to do this for a change!

This kit is called Spring wellies

All I did was chose the images and lay them out in my craft artist software, then print them.  I spent a while fussy cutting everything, then printed some matching backing papers.  The using glue and foam pads, made my cards, in all different shapes and sizes.

Thank you for stopping by - I really appreciate you taking the time to drop in.  If you want more inspiration please check out my Facebook, Instagram and Pinterest boards too.(link up above)

A day without creativity....

Hello Crafting friends

Hope that everyone out there in blogland is fit and well.  I've just gotten over COVID.  I did well though I haven’t had it all all since the start of the pandemic, despite working all the way through in retail, but it finally caught up with me.  Feeling much better now!

To cheer everyone up - I though I would share this cutie I made using a digi stamp from Vera Lane, some flowers from a Julie Hickey set, and finally a sentiment and background detail from a Tracey Hey stamp set.

I stamped and printed and the images before colouring them using Copic markers. I used white gel pen for added detail.

I cut a piece of card stock to 6 x 6 inches and scored in half to make a mini slimline card. On the background, I added mustard seed distress oxide ink through a dotty stencil, and using my black ink, stamped the detail down the side. (From the Tracey Hey stamp set called ‘a day without creativity’).

I then layered the flowers on the background before adding the girl. It’s all stuck together with glue and foam pads.

I finally stamped the sentiment at the side in black also and added some Nuvo drops for black spots in the background to add texture and interest.

I hope you like it!

Geranium pitcher

 Hi friends

Hope you are all having a great week! I'm stopping by today to share a beautiful stamped image from Stampendous called geranium pitcher, as well as some useful background stamps also from Stampendous called postage creations,

This is a 7x7 card I made using Anna Marie Paper pad called Garden Blooms.  I stamped my image in memento tuxedo black ink and coloured with copics.  I layered up the card, and decided to add the postage style stamps to the background.  I also have a stamp shaped die that I stamped onto making them look like postage stamps.  the butterfly is also from this postage set.

I really love the blue tones and grey tones in this, this is one of my favourite blue colour combos!  (B60, B63 and B66 in copic colours).

This stamp will be featured on Create and craft on Saturday if you want to check it out.  On the Oakwood shows!

A cuddle makes it all better

 Hi crafting friends

If you have never been here before - a warm welcome, and for those who have, thanks for stopping by again!

Today its a card made using one of the older all dressed up images called 'a cuddle makes it all better.'  This is for our Facebook challenge starting today over on our page.  The theme for this month - Lets be cute, and what is possibly cuter than a little girl hugging her dog!

After printing her out, I decided I wanted to layer this card up, so I used a Nitwit scrapbook digi kit called Day to Day.  I resized several elements and printed them out, before arranging across my card.

I coloured the image using a combination of copics and Prismacolour pencils.

Once I had arranged everything, I adhered everything down using a combination of glue and foam pads, and finished with some sparkly stickles around the edges of the butterflies and on the flowers.

I love the colour palette on this - I would never think to put raspberry pink with mint green, but I think its beautiful.

Please check out our Facebook page and our challenge blog, you can enter both, multiple times for a chance of inning three gorgeous images from Wendy.  All we ask is you use the all dressed up images.  If you don't have any there are some freebies on the blog to get you started, or hop over to the etsy page and treat yourself.

The DT have some amazing inspiration!

Watch out for the new releases coming soon too!
