Tiddlyinks Molly Swims image on 5x7 card

 Hi crafting friends,

I'm back with a super cute card made using a Tiddlyinks image that I have had on my computer for ages and never used.  She's so cute, and perfect for the summer!

She is called Molly Swims and can be found on Etsy under the Tiddlyinks shop.

The backing papers are also from Etsy from a shop called Jenny L and these papers are called Secret Garden.  Again I downloaded ages ago and have not used them.

I cut the stripy paper leaving a 1-inch strip for the patterned floral paper.  The image was coloured with copics and fussy cut out.  I used a stitched circle die and placed it off the page to highlight the Molly.  The 'Hello' die is from Penny Black as is the sunshine sentiment, they are a seperate die and stamp set but work together to make phrases.  I then coloured the 'hello' in the same pink used on the rubber ring.

As a final touch, I put glossy accents onto the rubber ring and her sunglasses for a bit of shine.

She is just too cute!

I'd like to enter this into:

Surprise strawberries

 Hello everyone

I think in my head I'm in summer, as my favourite cards at the moment are all summer themed!  Here's another one I made using a combination of things. I wanted to make something other than a flat card, I wanted a fancy folded one. Here's the full thing:

Its a gatefold card - so the outside has a bellyband and looks like this

Then inside when you open it, there is this cute image from tiddlyinks (it's now retired but its from my old drive where I have loads of tiddlyinks images!)

Ingredients

  • Tiddlyinks digi stamp (retired) - Berrylicious
  • Elisabeth craft - strawberry die
  • Nitwit digi paper collections - Sweet preserves
  • Coloured with Spectrum noir triblend brush markers
  • Tattered lace stitched circle die

I firstly printed all of the papers I wanted to use so I could match the colours, before colouring in this super cute strawberry image from  Tiddlyinks.

I have some card blanks that are unscored, this one normally forms a 5x7 card, but instead I scored lines at 3.5 inches and again at 10.5 inches to create a gatefold card.

I cut out the panels to go both inside and outside the card, as well as cutting two matching die cut circles from the dotty paper in the collection.

I fussy cut the image out and stuck her inside the card onto one of these circles

To make the belly band I cut a strip of paper 2 inches wide and slightly longer than the card, glued them end to end and folded to form a snug (but not tight) band, gluing the circle at the join.  I stamped the happy birthday from a set that was in a bundle I brought from a craft show (I think they were rare earth or tattered lace from a long while ago??) around this I wanted my strawberries, so I die cut them from white card stock and coloured them in to match the image inside, using glue and foam pads for dimension.

I hope you like it and it makes you remember long summer nights in June with fresh strawberries and cream!

Walkies

 Hello crafting friends.

Hope you're all keeping warn out them.  The clocks have gone back and November has certainly arrived with a blast of cold air!

Steering away from Christmas and winter, I thought I'd add some cheer to my timeline today with this cutie.

I have loads of Tiddlyinks digis from before they moved to Etsy, so this on is now retired, however I just wanted something happy to colour, and on scrolling through... Chose her.....

Ingredients

  • Tiddlyinks - Annabelle Puppy love (retired)
  • Pink petticoat - waterfall hearts in rose backing paper
  • MFT - stitched flowers
  • Coloured with Copics
  • Lili of the valley - everyday sentiments
  • Nuvo drops

After printing her out, I coloured her in pretty blues and pinks adding some white gel pen dots onto her dress.  I then cut her out using a stitched rectangle die and matted her onto black card.  I then printed out the pink hearts and found a scrap of light blue from my scraps folder and matted and layered these also onto black.  I realised it was missing something so I die cut the flowers out of white, and using pale tones of  the same colours in the image, I shaded them and added to the card with glue and foam pads. I printed the whole sheet of sentiments and fussy cut them out, sticking at a jaunty angle and the final touch was adding using glittery Nuvo drops.

I hope she puts a smile on your face!
