Floating away

 Hi everyone

Today is the new challenge over on the all dressed up Facebook Page.  The theme is holidays.  I know this means different things to different countries, but as I'm from the UK, Holidays mean sun, sea, sand and sangria!

I made my card using Pool party

I printed out my image and coloured her with a combination of copics and Polychromos pencils.

I then cut a 6inch circle, and folded it in half for my base card.  Using the lawn fawn wave dies, I cut three colours of blue, stuck them together and then used the same 6inch die to cut out the base.  stuck these together.  I fussy cut my image including inside the ring and stuck her on.  I used a sentiment on my desk (not sure where this one even comes from its from my pile of bits I print/stamp/cut etc and don't use. They go into a pot and I occasionally pick something out!  Do you do this too?)

To finish the image I used a white gel pen for highlights and some glossy accents on her glasses

I love how bright and vibrant this turned out.

I'd like to enter her into:

Monkey around

 Hey everyone

So glad to see you - sorry I haven't posted for a few weeks.  I started a brand new job on the 14th Feb and its been rather hectic.  I now have to travel more and have more responsibility so I find myself exhausted every evening!

I made this cutie using a mama elephant stamp set, with tropical leaves from lawn fawn and the back ground stamps from Tracey Het.

All coloured with Copics and fussy cut out.  I used the 'having it all' stamp set from Tracey Hey in the background and inked along the edge.  After die cutting the flowers and foliage, I coloured these with Copics too and layered the card together with glue and foam pads

I hope you like it!

Hap-pea birthday

 Hi everyone

Welcome back to my ramblings and looking at my work that's has been made in the glittery pink craft room.

My make for today is using what is probably my all time favourite stamp set.  It is very well loved and used a lot as its so good for both men and women's birthdays.

Its using Lawn fawn Be-Hap-pea stamp, as well as MFT stitched flower dies and Julie Hickey alphabet dies

I firstly stamped the images a few times and coloured them with copics.  I then cut them all out using the scan and cut.

While the machine was whizzing away, I stamped the background using Tracey Hey creativity stamp and cut and coloured the flowers also.

I die cut the sentiment three times and stacked them together before colouring the top one in an Ombre effect to match the colours used on the rest of the card

Once all the die cutting was complete i arranged them on my card and stuck them down with glue and foam pads.  To finish i added a faux blue stitched border around the edges, used tonic shimmer pen on the letters and then added glossy accents to the peas and the sentiment.

Looking at this makes me happy its so bright and cheerful!

Alice in Crafting land

Hi everyone

Yesterday I was browsing Etsy for digi stamps. I wanted to find some new cute designs and as my craft room is rapidly filling up - I can always justify buying new digi's as they take up no room!

I found this super cute set and brought it along with several others from a company called Caperuza sketch. they were really reasonably priced, and I adore the sketchy design.

Alice in Wonderland is one of my all-time favourite stories, and I knew they would have to be bright and bold and rainbow coloured.  I did colour them as close to the Disney film adaptation as possible.

ingredients

  • Coloured with copics markers
  • Digi stamps by Caperuza sketch on etsy here
  • Die - Lawn fawn scalloped slimline die with hears
  • Glittered with tonic shimmer pen and stickles Christmas berry red glitter
  • Ink blending with distress oxide inks
    • worn lipstick,
    • scattered straw,
    • broken china,
    • villainous potion
I printed all of my images first, coloured them and cut them out using my scan and cut.
I then cut out the die shape with some smooth white card stock, and blended distress inks to create a rainbow.

I blended the colours to create the secondary tones of orange and green and at the end added come more worn lipstick so it looks like it going back to red again.

This was then splattered with black water colour paint and lawn fawn liquid stardust.

I printed the quote and cut it up, then laid it along with my images onto the panel using glue and foam pads.  I used a slightly bigger card blank to put it on to finish the card.

I just love how colourful this is and how cute those characters are.  I can guarantee I'll be back for more images from here, There were so many to choose from!

How you bean??

 Hi everyone

Today I'm sharing a cute card using my favourite colour combination and stamp company (well one of them - there are sooooo many cute stamps out there I struggle to choose!)

Again  no particular reason for this card other than to bulk up my emergency stash for those times I have forgotten someone's birthday and need a card to grab! This one is a cute shaker card.

Please check out my Instagram and Facebook pages on the link here on the right, I'd love for you to follow me.

Ingredient list:

Lawn fawn - How you bean stamp set
Card and patterned paper form my stash
Coloured with Spectrum noir triblend brush markers
Glitter is also from my stash

Its so difficult to see in the photo but the glitter has both fine and chunky and is rainbow iridescent.  Its so pretty in the shaker! I also add, that it is all around my craft room so its certainly living up to its name!

I stamped all of the images and cut them out using my scan and cut with a 1mm line around the edge.  The jar I cut the middle with my craft knife.  I know that there are dies to match, but I don't have them so I improvise!  I made the shaker by stamping the jar again onto the spotty paper and fussy cut it out, doing the same to the acetate.  Because the line was so thin, I couldn't cut my foam tape without it tearing, so instead I used some purple fun foam in thin strips and glued them together to form a strong bond to keep the glitter inside.

I coloured the images with my triblend markers and rummaged through my card stock to find some colours that would match.
