Polkadoodles Winnie's at an Autumn Picnic

 Hi everyone!

Today I’m sharing a really cosy little autumn make using the gorgeous Polkadoodles Autumn Picnic Winnie Autumn Wishes digi stamp. I loved the sweet picnic scene straight away — Winnie, the hedgehogs, the toadstools and all those leafy details were just perfect for a warm, seasonal card.

I made my card 6 x 4 inches and started by printing the digi stamp to fit the front. I coloured the main image with Ohuhu markers, keeping the palette very autumnal with rusty oranges, warm browns, olive greens, berry pinks and little pops of red for the mushrooms and hearts.

Once the marker colouring was finished, I went back in with Polychromos pencils to add the smaller details. This is one of my favourite steps because it brings everything to life — a bit more depth in the hair, extra shading on the hat, tiny details on the leaves and more texture on the hedgehogs.

For the background I used a Time For Tea Designs panel die to create that lovely stitched diamond effect. It gives the card a clean quilted look without taking attention away from the image. I then added the coloured Winnie scene on top and tucked die-cut leaves around the bottom edge to make the whole card feel fuller and more autumnal.

The sentiment is from Crafter’s Companion Everyday Phrases and I stamped “Happy Autumn” onto a banner strip. I kept the embellishments simple this time — no sparkle, no stencil work, just colouring, layers and those lovely leafy die cuts doing all the work.

My project tip: If you colour with markers first, leave the image for a few minutes before adding pencil detail. It makes the pencil work much smoother and helps you create crisp little finishing touches without overworking the paper.

I’m really pleased with how cosy this one turned out. It has all the things I love about autumn crafting — warm colours, cute characters, leaves, mushrooms and a happy seasonal sentiment. If you fancy colouring this image too, you can find it over on the Polkadoodles website.

Polkadoodles Hello Beautiful Autumn

Hello crafty friends! Today I’m sharing a sweet little autumn card made with the gorgeous Polkadoodles Wishes in the Wind Winnie Autumn Wishes digital stamp. I loved the cosy feel of this image straight away — Winnie, the huge maple leaf, the little cat in the basket and the dog carrying a leaf all felt perfect for a warm, seasonal make.

I kept the card size at 6 x 4 and went for a clean white base so the colouring could really stand out. I printed the digi stamp, planned the placement of the sentiment above the image, and chose an autumn palette of olive greens, pumpkin oranges, warm browns and soft peach tones.

The main image was coloured with Ohuhu markers first, using them to build the base colour and shading. Once that was dry, I went back in with Polychromos pencils to add all the little details — leaf veins, folds in Winnie’s clothes, texture on the boots and scarf, and extra depth on the animals.

For the greeting, I used the Polkadoodles Big Hello sentiment die in olive green and paired it with a dark brown Rare Earth “beautiful” stamp underneath. I love how the bold die-cut word gives the card height, while the script sentiment keeps it soft and pretty.

I finished the panel with a hand-drawn stitched border and kept the embellishments simple — no sparkle this time, just lovely autumn colour. I also die cut and displayed leaves using the Polkadoodles Winter Botanical Bits dies, which tied in beautifully with the falling leaves in the stamp.

My project tip: If you like colouring with both markers and pencils, keep the marker layers smooth and simple first, then use pencils to add the tiny details at the end. It gives the image a lovely hand-finished look without overworking it.

I’m really happy with how this one turned out — it feels cheerful, cosy and very autumnal. If you fancy making your own version, you can find the Winnie digital stamp on the Polkadoodles website using the link above. What autumn colours are you reaching for at the moment?

Autumn fox Polkadoodles new release

Hello crafting friends

Sorry it's been a while; time just gets away from you, doesn't it.

While I've been away, I celebrated my big 50, and have spent lots of time doing great stuff to celebrate, including three holidays, an escape room, two new exercise experiences, a jet ski, and other awesome things, crossing off the list of things I wanted to do this year!

Doing all this and fitting in time to craft has been tight!

Anyway - over at Polkdoodles, there is a fabulous new autumn/halloween digi release called Hello Autumn available here

This cutie is called fox on a pumpkin

I used a script stamp to lightly stamp in grey on a piece of white card, and then used some washi tape to layer some strips down.  Over that, I splattered black ink.

The image was printed on white card stock and then coloured with Ohuhu markers, and details added with Polychromos pencils for a sketchy look. I then fussy cut the fox out, added foam pads and layered him up

The sentiment is also a Polkadoodles stamp set/. With this one, you stamp a whole A6 sheet and use a corresponding die to cut them all out.  I always have a dish full of these sentiments on my desk as they are super handy! Get them here

I finished the card with a black fine-liner to scribble a border around the edge.

I hope you like it

Autumn Girl

 Hello everyone

I hope everyone is safe and well, sending thoughts to anyone in Florida at the moment with the horrible storm Ian.

Today is the latest all dressed up challenge - I cannot believe it's the first of October already!

I used one of the three autumn girls available from etsy.  There are three of them, but they also come separate so are brilliant value for money.

When I was shopping in Asda a found a pack of Crayola skin tone pencils, and they had so many colours it made me realise I always colour my images with the same pale skin, and we are obviously not all the same, so for this one I thought I would do something different.

I hope you like it!

Terror-ific

Hello again - I'm back with another spooky themed project!

This autumn gnome can be used for Halloween or just for autumn, but he is so cool and really easy to colour.  If you don't have the time or patience to colour, you can buy him pre-coloured.  Both digi and pre-coloured are available on the poolkadoodles website here:

This is to celebrate the start of our latest challenge over on the polkadoodles blog. where our theme , as ever, is anything goes...

Our DT always have some amazing projects to whet the appetite or if you're feeling a bit uninspired, yu can also check out the shop where every image has a gallery you can look through to help you imagine what you can make with the images! Please pop over and see us!

I firstly printed and coloured him using copics.  I then took the sentiments from the set and some paper and tore it for the central banner.  I decided it needed some interest in the background and grabbed a stencil from my stash and inked through.

All finished with some black Nuvo drops and a doodled border in black fineliner!

I am scheduling this post as I'm away on hols, but i will be back soon with more inspiration! Thanks for stopping by!

See you again soon

Autumn vibe

 Hey everyone

So in case you hadn't noticed the Autumn releases are all on their way!  loads of new stamps from all companies for Autumn and Halloween.

I have a couple of cards in the next few days to share starting with this one I made for a create and craft show on behalf of Oakwood direct.

They have shows with Stampendous stamps, and I was sent this one to complete samples for.  Its a large slimline stamp called Harvest ride, but I liked the bicycle so didn't use the whole thing for this card.

I also though it would look great layered up, so I stamped it three times and coloured up sections before fussy cutting them so I could decoupage it.

It was coloured with a combo of copic markers and polychromos pencils, before I layered it, and added it to a card base with a beautiful yellow mat and layer.

The sentiment is from a Hunkydory pad with little strips you cut up.  i thought this one was perfect for the card.

I'd like to enter this into:

Krafty Chicks - all occasions

Double D - wheels/Mood board

Crafty Calender - anything goes
