You say witch like its a bad thing....

 Hi everyone

OMG - the new Polkadoodles release is out, and it is the cutest gnome set ever!!!  I totally loved colouring these guys and adding them to cards, I have so many to share, but I'll spread a few out between now and Halloween.

I just adore this image with the sentiment.  I sized her on craft artist the printed her three times.  I decided which parts would be most forward, and cut these out, forming a decoupage.  Its difficult to tell on a photo but she is so layered and looks really funky in 3d!

She was coloured with my trusty Copics, but the purple is spectrum noir triblend pens as I couldn't quite find the right purple shade from my copic stash.  I edged all of the layers with a black pen.
The background papers are also from the new release,  If you purchase the bundle you get all of the digi's, papers, sentiments and coloured images too!  at the moment its 40% off too, so a bargain, and it means you can get ahead making those cards and party invites!

lets get spooky...

Hi fellow crafters (and craft appreciators!)

I'm afraid Summer is drawing to a close, and looking at the prices of gas and electric in the UK, come the winter, we will be too cold to craft, so I'd better get ahead!

Our challenge is on again over at Polkadoodles week 35 - anything goes, along with a chance to win some of Nikky's amazing images - your biggest challenge will be choosing which ones!

This image is called Frankenstein monster boo and I have also used the Halloween paper bundle 2

I firstly used scattered straw distress oxide in the background, blending from the middle outwards like a glow, then added ink on the edges to frame him. I then used black gouache paint to splatter all over the background too.

I tore two strips of different papers to place across the bottom to ground my image.  He was printed out then coloured using copic markers then fussy cut and popped on some foam squares for dimension

I added the image and the sentiment, and decided it need more, so I went back to the paper pack and enlarged some of the skulls and fussy cut them out.

To finish the spooky feel, I doodled around the edge, and added some hand drawn cobwebs in the top corners

there are loads of great Autumn/Halloween images over in the shop - Please check them out.  Also see the other DTs amazing inspiration on the blog too!

Autumn vibe

 Hey everyone

So in case you hadn't noticed the Autumn releases are all on their way!  loads of new stamps from all companies for Autumn and Halloween.

I have a couple of cards in the next few days to share starting with this one I made for a create and craft show on behalf of Oakwood direct.

They have shows with Stampendous stamps, and I was sent this one to complete samples for.  Its a large slimline stamp called Harvest ride, but I liked the bicycle so didn't use the whole thing for this card.

I also though it would look great layered up, so I stamped it three times and coloured up sections before fussy cutting them so I could decoupage it.

It was coloured with a combo of copic markers and polychromos pencils, before I layered it, and added it to a card base with a beautiful yellow mat and layer.

The sentiment is from a Hunkydory pad with little strips you cut up.  i thought this one was perfect for the card.

I used this gorgeous girl and she is called Unicorn ring... that crab, oh my he's just too sweet!

I coloured her with copics in a summery colour theme, then used the same colours to make a background of die cuts, torn paper and stencilling.

Fairy hugs

 Hi crafting friends

I'm popping in today to share this sweet card I made using a lili of the valley image.

Its a digi image that I printed in grey and coloured using my Spectrum noir water colour pencils and inktense water colour pencils.

I die cut a circle around it, and layered it on another tattered lace die cut (I inked the edges a little).  I also used various other dies for the background.  The papers are from Anna Marie designs.  The banner is from Elizabeth crafts design and the flowers are from my stash..

I printed some lilac spotted paper and using my graphics package, wrote the sentiment, then spaced the letters so I could cut them apart.  I finished the card with more ink and some white gesso.

Not my usual style and I did look on Pinterest for some inspiration - there are so many gorgeous cards like this, and I'd love to make more.

I hope you like it.

Little Monster

Hello crafting friends

I hope everyone is keeping safe and well out there, its certainly very hot in the UK at the moment again.

Over at Polkadoodles we have a new challenge, as ever its anyhting goes, and we love to see what you create.  I've been looking at the last weeks entries and they are stunning..

You can win some of Nikky's amazing images and even the DT favourites get one each!

Although its blazing hot it won't be long before the nights draw in and hot chocolates become a favourite, so this time my inspiration is an image that can be used for both Halloween and for kids birthdays in general.

He is called Fuzzypea from the little monsters collection.

As soon as I saw him I thought he needed to be green, but then I realised that's very predictable so I coloured him bright red instead! The background is a DL stencil from my stash and I placed it in the middle of the card like a panel, then used festive berries distress oxides to blend.  I wanted more contrast so I drew the squiggly lines down the side and then I splattered with black Gouache too.  So he pops off the page I die cut a piece of vellum and used foam pads to give him dimension.  the sentiment is from the Little Dudes dino - mite pack.  All finished with some black glossy Nuvo drops.
